In a week full of games, the Cottey Comets finished strong on Saturday to take the weekly record to 3-0. This time it was on the road as the Comets took down Harris-Stowe 65-46.

Junior Sarah Hunt has become the regular top scorer, something she once again did on Saturday, putting up 21 points. Autumn Wallace and Claudia Hadlock also scored in double figures, putting up 15 and 10 respectively. The leading rebounder on the day was Dally Coulter, snagging 11 boards in the contest, while Akyria James led the assist category with 5. 

The Comets jumped out to a 18-6 lead after the first quarter, and never looked back. The Comets didn't convert from the Free Throw line, only shooting 53.6% from the charity stripe, but were near their average on shots from the field. 

The win lifts the Comets to 16-10 Overall, and 8-8 in American Midwest Conference play. The Comets currently sit in a tie for 5th place in the conference, and have already locked up a spot in the AMC Tournament. The Top 4 teams will host the opening round of the tournament against the next 4 highest seeded teams. 

The Comet go on the road Thursday to face the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy and the nations leading scorer in Grace Beyer; tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm in St. Louis. Saturday will see the Comets return Home for Senior Day, taking on Columbia College in a 6pm contest.
